The Jalon Valley is quietly situated 30 minutes inland from Spain's Costa Blanca and is the vineyard of the area. Casa Almar is a traditional style hotel situated in the village of Alcalali. Alcalali is probably the nicest village in the valley. Three bars are situated in the main square, with outside tables providing open air dining and drinking on the warm Spanish nights. In addition, there are seven quality resturants in the village providing a variety of menus and eating options. Each year the vines produce 2.5 million litres of wine - a red wine similar to Claret and the sweet but potent Muscatel for which the area is famed. You can sample and purchase the wines at the individual bodegas (wine cellars) or better still try at a local bar accompanied with tapas. |

| The pleasant agricultural village of Alcalali also produces oranges and almonds, with the trees providing a spectacular view in the springtime. Denia Nearby is the town of Denia which with its lovely beaches, bustling port and Islamic castle keeps visitors more than interested. The castle that dominates the town has both Islamic and medvial influences and was abandoned in 1859. Calpe The resort of Calpe is dominated by the Penon de Ifach, a volcanic rock that rises more than 300m above sea level. Calpe is a large and busy resort just 20 minutes drive from Alcalali. Benidorm Benidorm is just 35 minutes drive away, and offers the attractions of Terra Mitica, Mundomar and Aqualandia theme parks to keep all the family amused. The beaches are considered to be some the best in Europe and offer quality swimming and sunbathing. All these attractions are within easy reach of Casa Almar, a quality hotel situated in Alcalali, a typically Spanish village in the popular Jalon Valley.
